Welcome to Whippletree! This is our sixth-generation family farm, and while it's more of a hobby farm now, it has been in continuous agricultural production since 1869! Besides tillable farm land, we are stewards of native prairie, small wooded areas, a remnant of an oak savanna and wetlands, with trails throughout. We consider this our sanctuary and enjoying sharing it with others looking for a place of retreat to connect with the natural world. Stop by for a visit!

RV & Car Camping Site
We enjoyed the farm setting, outside of the city and a unique atmosphere. Onsite outhouse facility was clean. Nice trails through the property, Peter was easy to work with.

Walk-in Tent Camping Site
Get the coffee and donuts too!
Excellent spot!! Perfect location amongst the trees to hang our hammocks. Great bonfire ring too. Plus the fresh donuts and coffee were absolutely incredible!! Can’t recommend enough.

Walk-in Tent Camping Site
Far Better than an Air BnB.
The walk-in tent site was in a great location at the edge of a big grassy field and yet in the trees, with marsh in view below. The site was not muddy at all, and the fire ring had a couple logs elevated to sit on while facing the field for the perfect view. The dishwashing site is perfect, and the parking site is hard grass. For those sensitive to road noise from a non-visible highway a half-mile away, bring some ear plugs and you'll be fine.

Farm Stay Cabin & Nature Trail
The cabin was wonderful! Very clean, stocked with all the essentials and had plenty of room for our family. Peter was very responsive when we had questions and was friendly/patient with my kids showing them all the animals. Loved our stay here. Definitely would stay again.
